Hope of Sarv: A Symbolic Ring of Resistance and Resilience

Embodying the Spirit of Persian Culture

Inspired by the iconic cypress tree, Tina Kohkan has designed a unique ring that encapsulates the spirit of resistance and hope. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the "Hope of Sarv" ring combines history, nature, and art to create a wearable artifact that tells a powerful story.

The design of the "Hope of Sarv" ring draws inspiration from the cypress tree, a symbol of liberty and resistance in Persian culture. By capturing the darkness of the night within itself, the ring serves as a reminder of standing against anything that stems from darkness. The use of ebony stone (onyx) represents murkiness and despair, while pink opal symbolizes the sun and pearl stone signifies the moon and luminosity.

What sets the "Hope of Sarv" ring apart is its ability to swap stones, allowing users to match their accessories and clothes with ease. This feature not only provides a wide range of color variations but also offers an economical solution for those who want to personalize their style.

Made with pure silver, the ring is a testament to the ancient art of jewelry making in Iran. Through the processes of mold casting and cutting, skilled craftsmen bring the design to life. The stones, including onyx, pink opal, and pearl, are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality and aesthetic appeal.

Technical specifications of the "Hope of Sarv" ring include a size of 52EU, a ring diameter of 20mm, and a stone diameter of 18mm. With a total weight of 6 grams and a weight per stone ranging from 1 to 1.4 grams, the ring strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort.

The "Hope of Sarv" ring is more than just a piece of jewelry. It is a symbol of resilience, hope, and the enduring spirit of the Iranian people. By melding nature, history, and art, Tina Kohkan has created a design that allows users to imbue their own meaning into the ring, making it a truly personal and meaningful accessory.

The "Hope of Sarv" project began in September 2018 and was finalized in January 2019 after the completion of the prototype. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the cypress tree's symbolism in Persian culture.

Recognized for its exceptional design and craftsmanship, the "Hope of Sarv" ring was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is a testament to the ring's innovative and practical design, as well as its ability to evoke positive emotions and contribute to a better world.

With the "Hope of Sarv" ring, Tina Kohkan has created a timeless piece of jewelry that not only celebrates Persian culture but also serves as a symbol of resistance, resilience, and hope. It is a wearable work of art that carries a powerful message and allows individuals to express their unique style and personality.
